Copywriting
I write to clarify complex ideas, build trust, and move people to action.
Over the course of my career I’ve written for nationally recognized healthcare institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community-based systems. My work spans long-form editorial, executive messaging, donor communications, and campaign copy. My copywriting frequently supports broader organizational initiatives rather than standing alone.
Much of this work requires translating sensitive topics, clinical information, or institutional priorities into language that feels human and accessible to a wide range of audiences.
Educating patients, families, and the public
Web content that translates complex or sensitive health and care topics into human language, with an emphasis on clarity and alignment with the brand’s voice
Engaging nonprofit donors and supporters
Appeals and stewardship content that connects individual stories to tangible impact, helping supporters understand why their contributions matter without relying on urgency or guilt
Storytelling for institutions
Long-form brand journalism and web content that helps institutions explain who they are, what’s changing, and why it matters – often to audiences with very different levels of context and concern

Dedicating the David and Maxine Derstine Chapel
The Living Branches community came together to honor the legacy of David and Maxine Derstine during the Friends of the Sharing Fund dinner at Dock Woods. When Nancy pictures her daughter as a young girl, she thinks of books.
She remembers her two-year-old climbing the library stairs all by herself, carrying a big stack of books. She remembers her daughter handing her library card to staff at the Levittown branch.
